When you join the Ministry Team at Southwest, you aren’t simply taking a job, you’re significant to our ministry. Being a part of our staff – regardless of your position – means accepting the role as a leader in our church.
With leadership comes certain expectations. Before applying for a position on staff, you need to have:
We ask that you have completed these steps, or have plans to complete them, prior to applying for any position.
Additional requirements for our ministry staff are completion of C.L.A.S.S. 201, 301 and 401 within the first year of employment. We also expect staff and, if married, their spouses to be involved in ministry and attend weekly worship services here at Southwest.
Because your position is considered to be a ministry, we also have certain expectations concerning the lifestyles of our leaders, expectations that are designed to help you to minister more effectively and to ensure that we are kept from even a perception of inappropriate behavior. You see, here at Southwest, we’re much more interested in who you are (your commitment to ministry, what you believe about God, etc.) then we are about what you do!

Once completed, please drop it off with the church Receptionist during our regular business hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) Monday – Friday. If we see a potential match with our open positions and your skills and experience, we will contact you.
