The Andersons
Davis Lar Orphanage, Brazil
Raised and educated in the Coachella Valley, Mark Anderson worked for 17 years in the pipeline industry. After accepting Christ in 1989, he felt called to overseas missions, culminating in his family being sent by SCC in 2000 to start an orphanage in Brazil. Short term volunteer groups from the Church continue to assist in the ongoing construction of facilities. The Andersons face the challenging task of raising their two children in the middle of a foreign culture. Pray for the entire family as they minister to the spiritual, physical, and psychological needs for the many poor and abused orphans under their care.

Jim and Kristie Kercheval(Erika, Matt, and Chris)

Jim is the director of Campus Crusade for Christ at Cal Poly Pomona. He leads a team of staff and student leaders helping them reach college students with the Gospel. Their vision states, "Our desire is that every student would come to know and follow Jesus, be a part of the global harvest here and at Cal Poly Pomona and the world." Recently they have launched specific contextualized ministries aimed at commuters, African-American students (Impact), Asian-American students (Epic), and Latinos (Destino). They also have an active partnership with a university campus in Kazakhstan, where they send mission teams both short-term and long-term to reach that nation for Christ.
Both Jim and Kristie are natives of Southern California, with Kristie being a homegrown Coachella Valley girl. They have been supported by Southwest Community Church and specifically by the senior adult Bible class for almost 20 years. Jim and Kristie's primary prayer request is that they would achieve their vision of reaching every student with the Gospel and that all glory would be given to God alone.

Dave & Heidi Michaelian (Addie and Ellie)

After seven years of leading the Campus Crusade for Christ movement at Dave’s alma mater USC, Dave has recently become a regional director. He is serving on a team with six other people, who lead the 180 Campus Crusade for Christ staff in the Pacific Southwest region of California, Arizona and Hawaii. The regional directors shepherd the staff and keep them aligned and going in the direction. David and Kim Zovak (Zane and Kyra)

CRM’s mission statement is to be practitioners as well as trainers.
With Dave and Kim having theology degrees and completing their doctorates, they both seek to provide training and support for Christian leaders while looking for opportunities to reach out to their community.
Presently they are serving in Australia where less than 10% of Aussies have any church connection.
Pray that they may be able to prioritize the many opportunities that challenge them in the land “down under.”

H.I.S. Ministries
James and Linda Doss (Molly)
Jim and Linda formed H.I.S. Ministries in 1994 to provide hope for needy families in Mexico. While their first intention was to build an orphanage they soon discovered the need for a day care facility for the many mothers having to work was much greater. Their center provides a wholesome, Christ-centered environment for over 100 children. Seeking to fulfill their vision statement of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the people of Mexico, to intercede for them in prayer, and to minister to the poor by helping meet their physical needs, they offer medical and dental clinics, oversee church teams willing to build homes, and minister to inmates in the Tijuana State Penitentiary. Pray for strength, good health and wisdom as they serve the people in Mexico.
