Do you feel that God has placed a desire in you to start a new ministry at Southwest Community Church?

We would love to help you build a ministry action plan for your new ministry by completing the following steps:

Step #1  Review the Qualifications

Any new ministry must meet the following qualifications:

1. The ministry idea must be biblically sound.

2. The ministry idea must enhance the reputation of Southwest Community Church.

3. The ministry idea will not raise funds.

4. The ministry idea must meet needs within the “Body of Southwest Community Church”

5. The ministry idea fulfills one or more of our purposes.

6. The ministry idea will be led by a leadership team.

7. The leader of the leadership team is a member of Southwest Community Church and has at least completed C.L.A.S.S. 101, and is in the process of, or has completed, C.L.A.S.S. 201, 301 and 401.

PLEASE NOTE:

If your desire is to start a home group, an outreach group, or a support group, allow us to redirect you to those specific areas to get started:

Fellowship - If you desire to start a "fellowship" or "home group" with a common focus, please contact the Small Groups office, at 760-200-2000 ext. 2244. More information on home groups.

Outreach - If you desire to start an "outreach" to the local community, please contact the Purpose Driven office at 760-200-2000 ext. 2251. More information on local outreach opportunities.

Support Group - If you desire to start a "support group" for hurting people, please contact 760-200-2000 ext. 2283. More information on support groups.

Step #2  Submit Some Information

If you said “yes” to all of the above qualifications, please consider the following questions:

1. What is your vision (purpose) for this ministry?

2. Who is the target of your ministry?

3. What needs will your ministry meet?

4. How will your ministry meet these needs?

5. Do you have co-leaders in place? If so, who?

6. What resources are required to run your ministry? (meeting rooms, promotion, etc.)

7. What are your annual budget needs? (Best Guestimate)

When you are ready to submit your answers, download and fill in the printed form (Word doc) to get started.

Step #3  Meet with the Team

Once we receive your completed form we will contact you to meet and discuss your ministry idea. Once the idea is approved by the pastoral staff you will work with a representative of the ministry team to build your ministry action plan so your ministry can be assimilated into the church body.

Helpful Information

Pray! Pray! and Pray!! Please spend time in prayer over this new ministry idea. If the Lord is behind it, He will make it happen in His time.

This process takes approximately 60-90 days to complete.

If you are married, we will want to make sure your family is behind you as you take on this new opportunity.
